How to fight back and delay judgment when you are rightly accused of wrongdoing (summarising an opinion piece by legal expert Pierre de Vos):
1. Don’t deny the specific allegations or findings made against you.
2. Instead, complain about procedural irregularities in the investigation and/or
3. Raise counter-complaints about the behaviour of others – ie attempt “whataboutery”.
4. Paint yourself as a victim of a conspiracy.
5. Deny something that was not specifically alleged.
